Motorcycle Repair: Kawasaki Voyager 1995, kawasaki voyager, rubber grommets

Question
How do you take the valve cover off of a 1995 Kawasaki Voyager?? I'm having some issues with it. Help PLEASE!!!

Answer
Dale... I looked at this site:

http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/kawasaki-motorcycle-voyager-xii-zg1...  CYLINDER HEAD COVER and don't see anything really special about the cover.

There are the PAIR reed-valve components mounted on top, for both sides, and the hold down bolts with rubber grommets, plus some dowel pins used to locate the covers correctly on the cylinder head. IF you are having clearance issues getting the cover off, you may have to remove the PAIR valves first.

Sometimes the rubber grommets will swell up inside the cover, so you can't just pull them back out without some force and/or backing all of them out equally at a time, so you don't distort the cover just trying to remove one that is stuck.

Sometimes the locating dowel pins can get rusted into the cover or the head, making the cover seem to stick to the head. The end cap plugs are also glued into the cylinder head with sealant, so they can hinder the removal process a little.

You didn't specify the nature of your "issues," so that is about all I can share on a non-Honda question, such as this.
