Please help me if you have an answer for this one. I replaced a broken clutch lever on a 1985 Nighthawk 650. Now squeezing the clutch does nothing. I put it in the same way the old one came out, but the gears don't separate when I squeeze. Any ideas?

  If it is a cable operated clutch, check to make sure that the cable has not come unhooked at the clutch end....if everything is connected properly and you feel resistance at the hand lever, adjust the lever so that there is 1/8 of an inch between the lever and the perch and retry....
