Motorcycle Repair: Gl500, honda gl500, gas tank

I have a 81 Honda gl500 and I ran low on gas I switched over to reserve and the bike sputtered and made it to the gas station barely. Now full of gas it bogs down in any gear when you try to give it gas if you let off a little it will go but eventually bog back down. Thx

Sounds like you had some old contamination in the gas tank, and it may have clogged the filter or is in the carbs.  If you have a filter, change it.  Check the fuel flow out of the tap, if that is OK then you will need to clean the carbs...
