Motorcycle Repair: Cant find neutral., clutch lever, netural

QUESTION: I have a revtech 6 speed transmission.  It's not that I have a hard time finding neutral while idle, but the bike literally won't allow me to shift at all.  I can find neutral fine when the engine isn't running.  Any ideas?

ANSWER: What your saying is you cant go from netural to any other gear?

QUESTION: No, I can't go from 1st gear to neutral while idle.  I should also mention it is a BDL 3" open primary with a dry, cable clutch.  Does this sound like a case of the clutch not disengaging fully?  My clutch lever has minimal play.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Alot of harleys, even with aftermarket trans, have trouble finding netural. Ont he shifter cam there is a very small space for netural and at times its hard to hit when the bike is running, but pops right in when not running. In order to check the shifter cam you would have to remove the top end of the trans and do an inspection of the cam to see if its worn
