Motorcycle Repair: 95 sportster, clutch basket, noise sound

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1200 converted from 883 95 sportster. i changed oil and now i have a rattle or chatter noise, replaced top end seals and still have noise. it comes through carb but thats not where its coming from checked that.

ANSWER: When you say you replaced the top end seals, which seals are you referring to? Where does the noise sound like its coming from? Left side, right side, top end bottom end? Doest it do it more at idle or at high RPMs? Do you have adjustable pushrods?

QUESTION: I replace valve cover seals on both. Sounds like it is coming from left side bottom end. It is quieter at low RPM but does it on high and low RPMs. I do not have adjustable pushrods. While you are in gear, throttling, it is not as noticable. When you pull in the clutch, when slowing down, the noise seems to be louder. Thank you.

Answer
The only thing on the left side of the bike that can make a noise would be either your primary chain, your clutch basket or you motor sprocket. The Primary chain might be to loose, the nut for the clutch basket might be loose or the motor sprocket nut might be loose
Good luck and happy riding
