Motorcycle Repair: 83 shovel, header bolts, exhaust ports

What do you torque the exhaust header bolts and what do you use to keep the exhaust ports from leaking?

Answer
There is not much you can do about the leaks, unless you add thicker gaskets. the problem is the exhaut is held in with one bolt. As to the torque, snug the up. Dont try to tight to tight since the heads are aluminum and you dont want to strip them
