Motorcycle Repair: rocker box covers, rocker boxes, rocker arms

I want to take off my rocker box covers and have them chrome, the motor is a 1960/900 sportster. my question is how big of job is it and what will it entail,  will I have to disassemble the rocker arms and what will I have to do as far as marking engine parts to make sure it goes back together in the same manner it comes apart.

In order to remove the rocker boxes you have to remove the heads so you can get them off. You would have to remove the pushrods to get the heads off and to get the rocker boxes chromed you would have to remove the rocker arms. Just mark them so they go back in the same place. Once you put it bacl together you would have to adjust the pushrods.
