After it heats up its all of a sudden acts like I just put the brakes on. It comes to a rapid stop engin dies. I can restart but within 100 yds it happens again. after it set for a hour or so its seems fine again.

Dave, this is a puzzler.  Does it idle without dying?  It sounds like the engine is overheating and the piston is seizing in the cylinder.  It that's the case, that's bad.  It could be the carb is running too lean and the piston is growing in the bore so it sticks.  Is it hard to turn over when it stops?  If it is, you need to get this fixed quickly.
