Motorcycle Repair: electric, starter solenoid, starter relay

i am looking for a wiring diagram for the starter relay on a 1976 sportster.there are five wires..one to the regulater one to the coil ..one to the solenoid ..one to the breaker   what is the other one for?

In order the get a wiring diagram, you would have to get a service manual for your bike. It would have a wiring diagram. The wires are as follows. Looking at the end of the regulator, with the posts facing you, the center one black from the starter button, On the right post is 3 red wires. One form the starter solenoid, one form the voltage regulator and one from the ignition switch. The post ont eh left is green going to the starter solenoid
