Motorcycle Repair: 1984 nighthwak 750s, float bowls, dead battery


Question
i was on my bike last night......i stalled it and now it won't start...it will turn over a few times then nothing....i left it sit over night in hopes that maybe it was hot and still nothing.  I also had problems getting into gear after it stalled.  Any thoughts would be a great help.

Chad, I hate to state the obvious but you need to figure out if it's, fuel, spark, gas or just a dead battery.  Start by charging the battery.  Pull the spark plugs, and make sure they have spark.  If it has spark and the battery is okay, it's probably fuel.  Is fuel filter plugged? You can open the drain screws on the float bowls and see if they have a steady stream of fuel coming out. There should be a steady stream out of all 4 carbs and it should last for 30 seconds or more without slowing.
