Motorcycle Repair: 1995 vt1100c honda shadow clutch pushrod oil seal, crank case, honda shadow

Question
my bike decided it wanted to drain all the oil out of its crankcase via the clutch pushrod seal (located in the left side of crankcase). my question is???? do i have to do a complete teardown ( split the crank case) to replace this seal????

Answer
The vast majority of clutch pushrod seals do not require anything more than pulling the seal out and pressing in the new one. BUT... Honda, of all makes, can be wierd, take the 1980 CB650 for example, the countershaft seal requires that you split the cases to replace it.... 99.9 % of all bikes do not !
So, because I am not completely familiar with your model.... look this up in the new manual you have just purchased !
It is in the manual.
Thanks !
