Motorcycle Repair: 2004 Honda Shadow VLX tires, honda shadow vlx, dish soap

Question
I have a 2004 Honda Shadow VLX and had the front tire go flat today.  I checked it for leaks using the dish soap method and found that the leak was at the valve stem and not on the tire itself.  Do you know if there is another nut inside the tire to remove the valve stem or just the one on the outside?  I'm thinking this should be an easy fix and that I can replace it with the tire/wheel in place.  The bike did not come with an owner's manual but I am ordering one.  Any info and help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so very much.

PS:  I love this bike!

Answer
To replace the stem it should require the tire bead be broken... this can be done with the wheel on the bike but the stem cannot be removed and replaced from the outside, it needs to be done from inside the rim. You can break the bead and hold the tire to one side and replace the stem then reseat the bead and you are on your way....
You might just want to order the service manual, the factory ones are expensive but very good and this way you don't spend the big money on the owners manual which has limited information in it by comparison.
