Motorcycle Repair: CB350 oil and smoke, high crankcase pressure, crank case

Question
Hello,
Well today I went out riding and all was fine but after a while, I looked down to see more smoke than usual from the breather tube (smokes when stopped but usually not too noticeable when riding)and also oil leaking over the alternator cover. When I got it home, oil was all over that area and there was a significant amount just above the alternator cover on the left side of the bikes engine. Also I noticed the kick starter seemed to slipping a bit before I took it on the oily ride. Any ideas what's wrong or what I should be looking to fix? Thank you so much. Oh and I adjusted the brakes today and also moved the wheel back a bit to tighten the chain. Doubt this is related but might as well give you more to work with.

Answer
Initially I would ask... is the oil level too high ?
Crankcase pressure can rise from too high oil level, and it can rise from blow by due to worn rings...Check the oil level.
Do a compression check, is it low ? The old Triumphs would do this because they were summped up, meaning ythe crank case was full of oil, but the CB350 shouldn't have this problem....it IS a good place to look, tho..
Lemme know...
