Motorcycle Repair: Repair of timing hole, timing hole, remanufactured engine

Mike, I musy be the only guy to ever have done this. When timing my 90 FLSTC, the plastic insert pulled the threads out. Am I screwed? My dealer said I could buy a remanufactured engine, Not the anserw I was hoping for. Can I retap it slightly larger? Can't imagine I can't do somthing.

That is the first time I have ever heard of this happening.
Heres what you do. Find a dealer who sell parts from V-Twin manufacturing or you can look at their web site and find the closest dealer. Order part number 7500-2. It is a over size plug with tap and you can repair the problem
