Question
hey Mike i am making a go-cart with a honda cm 250 engine do you by chance know what parts of the wiring harness i need for it to run it needs a startor do you know where to find one of these? also the bike has been sitting for 10yrs+ so i prob need to clean the carb by the way what is that hose leading from the tranny to the air box?

Answer
The wiring harness you'll need to fabricate to suit whatever controls you decide to install in the driver's area. At a minimum you will need the kill switch, start button and wiring, along with the ignition components such as the coil, CDI box and related wires.

You should be able to find a stator at your local bike junkyard or on eBay.

As the bike has been sitting for over 10 years, not only will you need to clean the carbs but you will also have to rebuild them. You will probably need to replace all the seals and gaskets on the motor, too.

The hose is probably the crankcase vent hose, it routes gases in the bottom of the engine into the carb where they are burned with the fuel mixture. It is part of the emissions control.
