Motorcycle Repair: Changing transmission sprocket, changing transmission, tooth sprocket

Question
I have a 95 FLSTC with a stock 32 tooth sprocket on the transmission I would like to put on a 34 to lower the rpm at highway speeds. I can't afford a six speed. Is this reasonable and how much shop time would it take? I am running  Keith Black 9:5-1 pistons and an Andrews EV27 cam with an S&S super E. Would also like to know the best base gaskets to use. I used James gaskets and have a base gasket leak 30k later.

Answer
You can change the trans sprocket, just remember that you will loss some bottom end when you do that.
It usually takes about 3 hours to replace it.
On your gaskets, I also use James gaskets. Its my personal opinion, but I have used them for years and never had any trouble with them.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
