Motorcycle Repair: Honda Nighthawk 250, honda nighthawk 250, fuse blows

Question
My 1993 Nighthawk 250 has two 10amp fuses. One for the head light and one for everything else (brake light, blinkers, etc.) The fuse for everything else keeps blowing, but only after I start the engine for a little while. I've checked for a short and I'm having a hard time finding one. Would there be another reason for the fuse to keep blowing?

Answer
Charles, something is warming up and drawing more current than it should.  I'd suggest you start unplugging systems like headlights, tail lights, horn etc. and see if it doesn't quite blowing fuses. If it doesn't stop blowing fuses, it could be in the coils or fuel pump if thre is one.  You can plug them in one at a time until the fuse blows and then you have an idea about which circuit has the problem.
