Motorcycle Repair: clutch fluid, foot clutch, clutch fluid

Question
I just bought a custom Choper that has a jockey shifter a a foot clutch. The clutch pedal doesn't have too much movement and i wanted to check the master cylinder for fluid level (master cylinder is located next to the foot pedal) but I'm afraid that if i open the top i would have to then bleed the clutch. Does the clutch has to be bled if the master cylinder is open?

Answer
You do not need to bleed the system if the cover has been removed, it is there so you may add fluid as needed. Just make sure the bike is in an upright position or propped up so that the reservoir is level, otherwise it will spill fluid when you remove the cap.
