the vent hose- one end attaches to the gas tank, follow it down there is a t- piece and then another hose. where in the bike does the t piece and other end of the hose attach to? does it evan attach to anything?

I've no idea. Sometimes, especially if your bike is a California model, the vent hose goes to a charcoal canister and then into the air filter. This is done to cut down on pollution. On a 2007 model I would suspect it probably goes to a similar device. Check with your local Honda dealer or post your question on the VTX Owners Association forum at: http://www.vtxoa.com/
