Motorcycle Repair: lights on question when running, suzuki 800 intruder, turn signals

are all lights suppose to be on when engine is running on a 1995 suzuki 800 Intruder,turn signals work good,front parking lights stay on back are off

Very few bikes have parking lights (aka running lights) on the rear signals, so I think your bike is okay. To make absolutely sure, all you need to do is remove one of the rear signal light covers (usually held on with two small, long screws... be careful you don't tighten them too much when replacing the cover or it will crack) and look at the bulb inside - it should only have one filament.
