Motorcycle Repair: ct-90k1 12v Conversion, baja designs, bill silver

Question
I just bought a 1969 CT-90K1 that I have completely torn down and am rebuilding for my wife to ride. Ive done away with the stock headlight / speedo cluster and am running all aftermarket lights, front and back. Im hoping to do a 12v conversion for the obvious benefits while Im wrist deep in it. Other than the battery, what else do you think I would have to change? I really appreciate your time.

Answer
Matt, your rotor and stator and rectifier are all wired for 6v system. I think that the late CT110s might have gone to 12 systems. If so, then you would have to chase down those parts to make the conversion.

.......Took a moment and went on the CMSNL.com site to look up the CT110 battery...  6v still, so the stator/rectifier are not going to help you.

Honda switched to 12v for the C70 Passports in 1982 or 83, but I don't think that the components will fit your cases, as the engine design for the 70cc bikes is based off of the 50c models, not the S90-CT90-SL90 series.

Perhaps someone like Baja Designs can suggest something to help you up your voltage, if you really, really want to do that.
