Motorcycle Repair: oil coming out of air intake, half pint, intake question

QUESTION: Was out riding for about half hour when all of the sudden oil startyed coming out of air intake. I have a 2008 fatbob with 96b engine and about 6000 miles on it. Stopped engine waited a few minutes and restarted. No oil, rode home still no oil what could cause this issue and will it return???

ANSWER: how much oil came out and how fast were you going when this happened?

QUESTION: Iwould say about a half pint or less and when I noticed it I was doing about 25 if that down a side road. The fastest I had the bike up to before it happened was about 60.It was a cold day about 45 degrees.

You have a couple of butterfly valves in the rockers to vent air out of the motor durning the downstroke. One of them might have gotten stock open, which would let oil go out the vent. If it happens again or keeps happening, they would have to be changed out.
