Motorcycle Repair: Rotor and stator Help, stator, measure 5

Question
I have a 2000 RK Classic. Battery went completely dead during a ride. Battery charged up OK after overnight trickle. I then Checked voltage at battery while engine was running. See only 11.5 vdc at 2000 rpm. I then bugged out the stator with meter. No short to ground. No open in windings. Regulator bleed tests out OK.  I measure 5.5 VAC from stator pins with engine running. Should be 19+ VAC according to manual.
I'm stumped on whether to replace rotor or stator (or both). What has been your experience here?

Answer
If you are showing that low of voltage at the sttor then the stator is bad and needs replaced. You shouldnt have to replace the rotor, unless its damaged. The only damage that can occure is the magnets have come loose
Good luck and happy riding
