Motorcycle Repair: master cylinder, snap ring pliers, brake master cylinder

i am trying to figure out how to rebuild the brake master cylinder for my 86 Honda cmx250 rebel but the only thing i can find on the net is ordering complete repair manuals....any advise?

Chris, it's not too difficult if you ahve some mechanical experience.  Remove the unit from the handle bar and empty out the brake fluid.  Remove the lever and pull out the rubber seal over the plunger.  Inside you will see a snap ring holding the plunger inside the housing.  It's difficult to get out without the right snap ring pliers but it can be done.  Clean out the bore and reservoir, replace the seals a put it all back together.
