Question
we are trying to start this bike after years of not running we have cleaned all the carb up but it would seem that no fuel is getting though any idea's please. Have never started this bike before is there any thing i should know about the starting procedure.

Thanks Claire

Answer
First verify the operation of the petcock. Next verify that your battery is charger up and in good condition. If fuel is coming out of the petcock, verify that the carb bowls are getting fuel by losening the drain valves. Also verify that there's spark at the plugs (the ignition is working).

To start, set the ignition switch to "RUN" and either push the starter or kick-start it. There may be an ignition override with the clutch lever (it must be pulled in to start it). Try to start it with half-choke and then with full-choke.
