Motorcycle Repair: more power, honda rebel, best bet

Hi, how would I get the most power out of my 1982 Kawasaki KZ440LTD chain drive? There's a few reasons why I want a little more power. First off, one of the guys I ride with has an 85' Honda Rebel 250CC, and he walks away from me when I'm topped out.

If the bike is in tune and has good compression you should be able to outrun the rebel unless your fiend weighs 90lbs and you weigh alot more.

There's not much you can do to improve on it if it's running ok. Your best bet would be to find a bigger bike.
