Motorcycle Repair: extended front end for 1989 FXRS, fxrs, stock front

I would like to extend the front end of my 1989 fxrs low rider. The stock front end looks pussified. Would I be able to extend the front end just by changing out the sliders?

Answer
You can do that, but all you will do is raise the front end off the ground more. You can add neck cups that are angled by 3 degrees which will extend the front end. then you will have to change the length of the forks
