Motorcycle Repair: 84 honda shadow 700 vt, snap ring pliers, clutch master cylinder

I know it is possible to brake down the clutch master cylinder and put a new piston kit in and i have removed the clutch lever and push rod but i dont know how to get the boot out.

I think there's a metal ring holding it in the bore.  I normally take a pair of pliers and pull it out. Sometime the boot will tear but most of the tie it will come out okay.  Inside the boot you will find a snap ring holding the plunger in the bore.  That snap ring is a real challenge to get out without some special snap ring pliers.
