Question
QUESTION: my kx85 is bogging down and i am out of ideas it boggs when i get on it at low speed i have to just get under my power band once i am going it is fine but still isnt hitting like it should if in idle i have to rev it up i put a procircut pipe and scilencer on it and had it jetted it has new plug k&n air filter and boyesen power wing please help thanks

ANSWER: My experience is with older honda but you're describing a engine that is running too lean.  You still have some jetting work to do.  You can confirm this by applying a little choke and see if it doesn't run better.  If it does, you need to change increase the jet sizes more.

QUESTION: it was doing this before I took it and had it jetted and the guys at kawasaki
told me I was running way to rich so it's not the jetting I was thinking maybe
stator plate, ignition coils, fly wheel or top end thanks

Answer
You can tell pretty quickly.  First shut off the fuel a run the bike, if it runs better for a little while before the carbs run out of fuel, the dealer was right.  Then put some choke on (not full on)and see if it runs better.  If it does run better with the choke partially on, I'm right.  It's not electrical, in my experience.  The ignition system either works or doesn't work.  If a cylinder cuts out under load, the higher the load the more it will cut out.
