Motorcycle Repair: how to remove starter off honda 83 750, honda sabre, 750 honda

hi i'm having a little trouble understanding how to get the starter off my 1983 750 honda sabre if you could help i'd appricate it.

Amber, there are two bolts holding the starter in.  First you have to remove the oil filter to make clearance to pull it out.  Then disconnect the starter cable and the two bolts in holding the starter to the crankcase.  Then pull the starter out of it bore.  You may have to tap on the starter with a rubber mallet to loosen it up as you pull on it.  It should slide right out.
