Motorcycle Repair: Modulating light, beam element, buld

Question
I have heard that installing a modulating light on a motorcycle can:  Burn out the bulb faster.  2) Hypnotize the rider.   3) Distract other drivers.   4) Run down your battery faster.  5)Even out high and low beam element life.
What is the truth?  Do you recommend this type of aftermarket device?  How do they work?

the modulating light is designed to make the bike more visable to other drivers. the buld will not burn out faster, I dont think it will hynotize the rider, it make other drivers more aware, it will not run your battery down faster. I would recommend it if it will make you feel safer. One thing you need to remember is that in some states they are illegal. they work by adding a component to your bike that is connected into the headlight that makes the light modulate
