Motorcycle Repair: 1978 honda 550 4 carb, honda 550, float bowl

Question
i just had pulled the carbs to clean all the bowls out and clean the jets when i put the carb back on fuel starts to leak from one of the fittings on the bottom of one of the bowls what could cause this

Luke, that's caused by a sticking float or a needle that has something stuck between the needle and seat.  Take a plastic handled screwdriver and tap lightly on the float bowl.  If it just a sticking float, it may loosen it and shut the flow off.
