Motorcycle Repair: my honda magna v45 750 1982, honda magna v45, throttle linkage

On my Honda magna v45 750 1982 for some reason I hit the throttle on high the other day to show off my bike then all of a sudden it would not go back down... Now when I press the clutch in my bike revs up to like 5k or so any ideas what the problem is or how I can fix it?

James, sounds like the throttle cable is stuck. You should be able to force it to idle by pushing the trottle closed.  They have a push/pull cables for just that purpose.  It's also possible the throttle linkage is binding up with dirt or rust.
