Motorcycle Repair: Wiring speakers/amp, honda shadow spirit, wiring speakers

I have a 2008 VT750 Honda shadow spirit, I am installing a sound system and would like to know the best location to splice into a 12 volt line, would like somewhere near front forks if possible, also which wire .horn,headlight,etc. I can go directly to battery but would prefer not too.   Thanks for help .  Carl

Sorry Carl, my experience is with older pre-82 Hondas so I can't say specifically where to hook up.  Generally though, the power wire color code is black.  About any black wire will be fused and shouldn't impact another system.  Depending on what load you are putting on that circuit the fuse and wires may not be sized for the additional current.  If it only 3-4 amps you'll probably be okay, much more than that, you may want to run a wire back to the battery.
