Motorcycle Repair: Slinging Oil, rocker boxes, oil spots

QUESTION: I have an 06 883L and while riding the other day I noticed oil spots on my right arm and on the right chest and shoulder area of my shirt. They weren't huge spots but enough to ruin my clothing. Where could this oil be coming from? There are no oil spots in the floor of the garage.

QUESTION: The oil filter or the air filter?  The air filter is wet with oil.

Sorry, I ment the air filter. Your bike vents in the rocker boxes to the air filter. You can clean the filter and this will stop it for a while, but you have to clean it regulary. They do make kits that will vent the air to the bottom of the bike so you dont have this problem
