Motorcycle Repair: turn signal switch, ball detent, little spring

The turn signal switch on my 97 shadow seems to be harder to push to cancel the signal. Can I lubricate it with something. what do you suggest.

Dan, you might try a some of that white spray grease that comes in a spray can.  I wouldn't suggest just spraying it in.  You may get too much on the electrical contacts and it may quit working.  I'd recommend you take the switch apart and spray only the sliding parts.  There's a little spring and ball detent in there and I'm guessing the grease is dry or the spring has started to rust.
