Motorcycle Repair: 74 honda 100XL, float bowl, full stream

Question
I have done a lot of work on my honda to alleviate a problem of it quiting while driving it. It quits at exactly the same spot and starts within minutes. I am driving on a flat road at 2/3s to full throttle after driving for a minute or two it quits. I have cleaned the carb, replaced coil and condenser, new sparkplug, new needle and seat and float, cleaned the gas tank. I also have tested most of the wiring. Do you have any ideas as to what to do next? Thanks Bruce

Answer
I can only suggest how to find it.  When it quits, reach down and turn off the fuel to the carb with the petcock.  Then take a screwdriver and open the float bowl drain.  See if you get a full stream of fuel out.  It should drain for 30-60 seconds.  If it runs out almost immediately, the problem is a restricted fuel line somewhere.  Make sure the float bowl vents are not plugged or severely restricted.  Fuel can't flow into the bowls if the bowls aren't vented.  If it has a full float bowl the problem is probably electrical.
