Motorcycle Repair: fuel injected aspencade, honda aspencade, cold sensor

I own a 86 honda aspencade 1200 that has fuel injection,  my problem is to much fuel to the point that it soots all 4 sparkplugs.  The onboard computer is not showing any fault codes at this time.  Could a temp sensor be bad making the computer thinks the engine is cold all the time and if so which one on the bike am I looking for?

Sorry Mark, my experience is limited to pre-82 Hondas.  But you're first guess would be a great place to start.  You are looking for anything that will cause the system to enrich the fuel metering and a cold sensor would certainly do that.
