Motorcycle Repair: no clutch, clutch pack, clutch plates

Question
I'm 17 and I have a 1972 CB350 that has been sitting for about 10 years. I got running and we found out that the clutch won't engage. I drove it to try and break loose the clutch and it didnt work, the clutch still won't function at all. Do I need new clutch plates?
Thanks, David

Answer
If the clutch is properly adjusted, the plates may be stuck  together. Does it feel like the clutch is lifting the clutch pressure plate when you pull in the lever?  If it feels like the clutch is working and adjustd correctly, you may have to pull the crankcase cover off and disassemble the clutch pack.  Disassemble the clutch plates, oil them up and reassemble the clutch.  Just be sure it's not an adjustment problem or you may waste a lot of time and effort.
