Motorcycle Repair: 94 Dyna Glide Stator plug wont stay connected, stator, oil filter

Question
The stator plug fitting seems to be blocked by the oil filter. It keeps getting
loose and disconnecting,draining my battery. I bought something that is
suppose to hold it in place but cant figure it out. Any suggestions and is this
common.

Answer
Over time the rubber on the plugs gets soft and the connections get old and they will come unplug. I suspect the part you bought to keep it together is a small beam like part. It should attach tot he case bolt. If you cant keep it plugged in you are going to have to replace the stator
