Removed rocker assy. an reinstalled. When doing the rear the valves seemed higher up. I had to tighten the rocker assy to get it flush. Also the top cover was a bear to get on the rear.[no space] When trying to start the motor all I get is back fire thru throttle body or exhaust. Will not start.

QUESTION: No Unaware that this was needed. How do you do this. Will this damage the lifters??

Answer
What you need to do is raise the rear end and remove the spark plugs. Remove the clips from the pushrod covers, so you can see the pushrods. Rotate the motor so the front exhaust pushrod is all the way to the top. Let the motor sit for about 15-20 minutes. this will bleed the lifter. Now go to the next one and do the same thing. Keep going until you do them all.
Good luck and happy riding
