Motorcycle Repair: 85 Honda spree, honda spree, carburator

I just bought this bike and cleaned the carb. It fires right up but will bog out when i give the gas. What could be the problem? Dave T.

Sorry Dave, I have no experience with the Spree.  My experience is limited to pre82 models.  It sounds like the engine is leaning out so it's not getting enough fuel.  This could be caused by incorrect float level adjustment, plugged passages in the carb, bad accelerator pump (if it has one), or plugged fuel strainer in the fuel tank.  

You are looking to find why the carburator isn't delivering the right amount of fuel.
