Motorcycle Repair: wheel bearings, front wheel bearings, xlh sportster

Question
I have a 1983 xlh sportster.  I need to replace the front wheel bearings.  Do I have to take the discs off to get the bearings out?  IF not where do I start?

No, once you have the wheel off pull the seals out and the wheel bearings will come out. If you are replacing the bearings you should replace the races also, so you dont wear the bearing out prematurly. Also, checking the spacing on the bearings after replacing them
