Motorcycle Repair: 96 EVO, cam point, happy mike

Question
I,m putting adjustable push rods (Crane) in and can not see the cam (lower end is closed)to find the lowest cam point to start the adjustment. Can I tell by piston placement or ???

Put the pushrod in and put a clothspin on it. Rotate the motor and you will see the clothspin go up and down. When its all the way down then set the pushrod. the clothspin will also help hold the pushrod cover out of the way
