Motorcycle Repair: pushrod clips, pushrod, o ring

I have a 2008 96ci flhx, I installed new kuryakyn tappet block cover but can't get pushrod clips back in on 3 of 4 push tubes?? do i need to advance motor any?? it is spring loaded stock tubes, please help.

Make sure the bottom of the cover is all the way in the o-ring and make sure its all the way in the o-ring at the top. Use a screwdriver against the center, where the spring is, and put the top of the clip in the slot at the top and sitting on a angle on the screwdriver. Now push up on the screwdriver and slide the clip on the screwdriver and it should pop in
