Motorcycle Repair: 2006 Sportster XL883C Questions, harley davidson sportster, sensers

I have a 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster XL883C.  While on a ride yesterday, the battery cover panel fell open and nearly fell off my bike.  I stopped and looked closer at the problem and discovered that one of the two gray plastic retaining clips is missing entirely and the other is apparently damaged and no longer holding the cover panel in place.  What are these plastic clips called, and where other than a dealer can I get them?

A second problem that I've been having the past couple of days is that my check engine light will come on for anywhere from 2 or 3 seconds to upwards of a minute and a half and then go off.  It usually stays off for 5-10 minutes and then comes on again.  Any ideas what this could be?  I haven't noticed anything different about how the bike runs or sounds.  I have noticed that it does not come on when the bike is just sitting and idling, just when I am riding.

the only place you can get the clips you are refering to is a dealership.
As to the check engine light, the only way to know what the problem is you have to take the bike to someone who has the programing to do a dianostic on your bike. You have alot of sensers and the dianostic will tell what the problem is
