Motorcycle Repair: 1985 Yamaha BW 200, bike wreckers, ebay ca

Question
I have a 1985 yamaha bw 200, you know the one with the ATV tires. Well it needs a new muffler and i can't afford one from the yamaha dealership ($260 plus S&H) so i was wondering if you know of any aftermarket mufflers that will fit the bike?

Aaron,

you will have to search the
bike wreckers or repair your
muffler if possible. They
are expensive. Another
solution might be to try
to fit a slip on muffler.
If you search eBay for "exhaust can"
there are many cheaper mufflers
that could be welded or clamped
on possibly like this one:

Some sport bikes have mufflers that
cost 6-7 hundred a piece, ouch!
