Motorcycle Repair: Gas smell from Roadking, harley dealer, naples fl

QUESTION: I have a 2003 road king that I bought used in FL.  It is a Cal. bike.  I get a
strong gas odor once it has been ridden for a while.  I took it in to the Harley
dealer in Naples FL twice.  The first time they said they plugged up the vapor
cannister or the line.  The second time they couldn't find anything.  Willthe
smell go away if the canister is removed?  How do I remove it?

Since the vapor line is plugged, I dont hing the smell is coming from there, but you can remove it and try that. It is located under the seat. If you still have the problem, go for a ride until you smell the gas. To look for a leak, spray some deoderatnt that has baby powder in it around the manifold and the leak should turn dark brown.
