I have a 1998 Suzuki Marauder 805cc, Can I shave the cylinder heads to increase compression? If so, how much can I shave them so the valves don't bottom out and will this increase horsepower?

My theory behind these things is, the manufacturer has the mechanicals of most of thier engine to put out peak from new, i would look into carbs, gear ratios, cams maybe, but i wouldn't bother with the hard parts, i think you'll find it'll end up being more trouble than the money you put in it..
