Motorcycle Repair: Swingarms, shaft width, displacement engine

Question
Need to know if the swingarm of an 89 gpx/ex600 will fit an 89 gpx/ex250. Measurements of main shaft width or blueprints on both would be appreciated.I also need to know what size the forks are (mm diameter) and if the width of the triple trees are the same.(de-restricted track project, incase you were wondering!!).

Answer
Nick,
this might be a question better asked on some
of the Kawasaki forums online. (www.ninja250.org)
-The ex250 has smaller fork tubes 36mm compared
to the 600's 38mm tubes.
-The problem with adding bigger parts is the
weight is not beneficial to a small displacement
engine. I think beefing up the smaller
fork springs with some ex500 versions might
help.
-The same goes for the swingarm, added bulk and
the shock will be overkill for a smaller bike.
-I would look into just adding a better shock.
-If you are making a speed and handling efficient
bike, weight is critical with the little 250 engine.
-the whole ex600 front end including triple trees
may be possible as well as the swingarm but
take some basic measurements before you start
and consider the weight and handling disadvantages.
